Easter is the most joyous and celebrative season of the Christian Year. It focuses on Christ's resurrection and ascension and on the giving of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. The first Sunday of the Easter Season, this year, is April 5- Easter or Resurrection Sunday!
Leading up to Easter we have the final days of Lent called Holy Week. During these days, the community journeys with Jesus from the upper room, to the cross, to the tomb, to the garden.
The week before Easter Sunday we enjoy a Neighborhood Spring Social and Egg Hunt on the lawn. You are invited to come and enjoy one another's company and a egg hunt (beginning at 4:20 PM), face painting, relay races, crafts, and bounce house.

Worship: Thursday of Holy Week
April 2 at 6 PM Maundy Thursday
Maundy Thursday is March 28 this year. We will worship together in the sanctuary and online at 6 PM. Join us!
On this night Christians commemorate the supper Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion, when Jesus washed the disciples' feet and instituted the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.
Mandy comes from the Latin "mandātum" which means command or mandate. This is from the commandment in John 13:34, "I give you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, so you also must love each other."

Worship: Friday of Holy Week
April 3 at 6 PM Good Friday
Good Friday is April 3 this year. We will worship together in the sanctuary and online at 6 PM. Join us!
Good Friday proclaims God's purpose of loving and redeeming the world even in the face of human rejection and cruelty through the cross of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
"Good Friday," is most likely related to the English and the Dutch, the only two languages that use this term, which etymologists say is likely an alteration of the Germanic word, "Goddes," meaning "God's" or "Holy." A similar process happened with the English word "goodbye," which was formed over time as a contraction of "God be with ye."
