Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Sunday worship service like?

Visit our Worship Recordings page to watch recordings of previous worship services.
We worship in the sanctuary and stream online at 10:00 AM on Sunday Mornings.
We sing together, pray together, read scripture together. Our pastor preaches. We have a special moment for children to help them connect scripture to their lives. We give our tithes and monetary offerings to God.
People have described our worship as casual, warm, friendly.

What should I wear?

We are casual. You are welcome to worship with us in jeans and t-shirt, suit and tie, or in between.

Where do I park?

We have two parking lots:
an upper parking lot to the East with quick access to the sanctuary and church office
a lower parking lot to the West with quick access to the Fellowship and Activity Center, church kitchen, and playground.
You can park in either lot.
If parking in the west/lower parking lot you can take stairs or elevator to the sanctuary level.

What door should I enter?

The doors on the East side of the building off the upper/east parking lot give you quick access to the office and sanctuary.
The doors off the lower/west parking lot give you quick access to the Fellowship and Activity Center.  If using these doors on Sunday morning you can take the elevator or stairs up to the sanctuary level.

Once I arrive, where should I go first?

A greeter will meet you at the door, offer a bulletin, answer any questions you might have.
To the left you'll find a coffee/tea area with donut holes and other treats.
To the right you'll find the doors to the sanctuary.
Feel free to sit in any pew. We have a rocking chair for nursing or rocking a little one
and a prayer ground for folks who like to have something to do with their hands during worship.

What should I bring?

You can bring your Bible if you like. We will provide bulletins, hymnals, and Bibles.
All hymn lyrics and responses will be projected on the screen.

What is there for children?

We are committed to helping folks raise children to know and love God. Children are welcome in all aspects of our worship service.
Children are invited to stay with their adults during worship or to stay for the first part of the worship service and
then to attend Children’s Church with our Children’s Church Coordinator and Safe Gatherings Certified volunteers.
Children’s Church is for kids in Fifth Grade and younger.
We also offer nursery care for children three years old and younger.  The nursery opens at 9:45 AM for drop off.

When is Sunday School?

We offer Adult Sunday School at 9:00 and 11:15 on Sunday mornings called Sunday Small Groups. Each class usually chooses a book or scripture to study and discuss. Click here to learn more or email the church office (office@frontyardchurch.org) for more information or sign up for our weekly newsletter to get updates about books and classes.
Our children's Christian formation happens during worship and Children's Church.
