Ministry Teams are how we put our love into action.

Hospitality Team

The Hospitality Team welcomes folks to worship each Sunday by:
Opening doors
Handing out bulletins
Making coffee
Helping folks find their way
Greeting
Serving as ushers, if needed

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team is a group of Fairview Folks who are notified of prayer requests during the week. If you would like them to pray please click here to add your prayer request.  

A members of the Prayer Team commits to:
Regular individual and communal prayer for our church, individual Fairview Folks, our neighborhood, our town, our state, our country, the world.
Being a safe person with whom others can share their joys and concerns. 

Fellowship Team

The Fellowship Team plans meals and events that have the purpose of strengthening our relationships as a community.  

Loaves and Fishes Team

The Loaves and Fishes Team plans the meals we serve at Loaves and Fishes every fifth Wednesday.  They learn about the processes of the Loaves and Fishes soup kitchen and communicate those to volunteers. 

Audio Visual Team

The AV Team works together in the AV Booth during Sunday Worship to provide an online experience for those streaming worship while also providing sound, slides, etc. for the in person worshipers.  

Two people are in the booth each Sunday.  A typical member of the team works in the booth one Sunday a month.

Care Team

The purpose of the Care Team is to care for and connect with Fairview Folks and visitors

A member of the Care Ministry Team can contribute in a variety of ways:
  • Send birthday cards, get well cards, etc. to folks in their circle
  • Participating in meal trains for folks who have had surgery, babies, death in the family
  • Baking for our visitor welcome packets
  • Delivering welcome packets to visitors
  • Assisting in Teacher Appreciation Week for our Mother’s Morning Out Teachers
  • Encouraging our college students who live away from home

Events Team

This Team plans events for our church community and neighborhood.

A member of the Events Ministry Team can contribute in a variety of ways:
  • Dream up events
  • Participate in meetings to plan events
  • Be a point person before events to encourage Fairview Folks to participate
  • Advertise events
  • Help Fairview Folks understand the goal(s) of particular events
  • Help in the set up and tear down before and after events
  • Get to know our neighbors and visitors
  • Have fun!

Cool Congregations Team

This team looks at ways to lower our carbon footprint and implements those changes to care for creation. 

Facilities Team

The Facilities team maintains and repairs our building.

A member of the Facility Ministry Team can contribute in a variety of ways:
  • Work with other team members to maintain building- change filters, lightbulbs, etc.
  • Work with other team members to fix things that are broken, problem solve building issues, repair and replace as issues arise
  • Get bids from companies to complete bigger jobs
  • Participate in occasional meetings to prioritize work

Landscape Team

The Landscape Team plans and implements flower bed projects to make our corner of the world more beautiful and welcoming. 

Worship Arts Team

The Worship Arts team helps plan worship.  This team especially focuses on music and other ways we can incorporate art and creativity into our worship services.

Visiting Team 

The Visiting Team is made of folk who have a heart for older adults. Team members visit homebound Fairview Folks individually or in pairs.
Occasionally team members extend the table and offer Holy Communion to those who wish to take it. 

Camp Fairview Team

The Camp Fairview Team plans our summer ministry programing.
 Camp Fairview is an intergenerational ministry with events throughout the summer. 

Nursery Team

The Nursery Team is a group of Fairview Folks who volunteer in the nursery during our Sunday worship. Everyone on this team is Safe Gatherings Certified, has passed a background check, and upholds our Safe Sanctuary policies and procedures.

A member of the Nursery Ministry Team commits to:
Serving in the Nursery one Sunday a Month
Being Safe Gatherings Certified (this is an online training you complete at your own pace)
Arriving at the church building by 9:40 AM
Working with another Nursery Team Member (our Safe Sanctuary Policy requires at least two adults per class) to:

Meet adults and check in children
Care for the children during the worship service
Check children out to their adult after the worship service has ended
Tidy/Wipe down surfaces once the children have left

**The nursery has speakers so that folks serving in the nursery will be able to listen to the service.
