You can serve in a variety of ways on Sunday mornings.
Greeter
Greeters stand near the upstairs and downstairs doors. Their job is to warmly welcome folks to worship, give directions to visitors, hand out bulletins, answer general questions, etc.
Liturgist
A liturgist helps lead worship. They speak from the pulpit and lead the congregation in prayers, the call to worship, and they read the scripture. On Communion Sunday the liturgist helps serve Holy Communion.
Communion Server
On Communion Sundays, always the First Sunday of the Month, and other Sundays too, we have two stations- the Pastor and a Communion Server and the Liturgist and a Communion Server. Your role as Communion Server is to reverently distribute the elements by holding the cup. We usually receive Communion by intinction- where a congregant receives a piece of bread and dips it in the cup.
