Little Bethlehem

About Little Bethlehem

Little Bethlehem is an interactive nativity that the people of Fairview United Methodist Church have been putting on for 30+ years.

Visit Bethlehem this December on Friday the 13th, Saturday the 14th, and Sunday the 15th from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Park in our upper/East parking lot (closest to the Fire Station) at 3200 Chapel Hill Road in Columbia, MO and meet the greeter at the Visitor Parking Signs.

There you'll be paired with a Shepherd who will guide you through the Interactive Nativity.

You'll join the shepherd on the way to Bethlehem, you'll watch as the shepherd meets folks at the town gate, as the shepherd encounters the Innkeeper.
You'll go with the shepherd into the stable to see the sign of good news of great joy for all people - a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.
The Magi will arrive and offer their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Then you'll be directed indoors for Christmas cookies, wassail, and carol singing. Stay awhile!  We'll have a craft for the kids and as many cookies as you'd like. You are welcome here.

Accessibility information-  visitors to Little Bethlehem will be able to stay on our sidewalk for their whole journey. There is a ramp into the building using the side doors and a slight grade from the building using the front doors to the parking lot.

"But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; for see—
I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people:
to you is born this day in the city of David
a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.
This will be a sign for you:
you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth
and lying in a manger.’"
