Little Bethlehem Info and Volunteer Signup!

Little Bethlehem

Little Bethlehem is Friday, Dec. 9, Saturday, Dec. 10, and Sunday, Dec. 11 all nights from 6-8 PM.

Little Bethlehem consists of an interactive nativity on the front lawn and carol singing and refreshments in the narthex. Join us for some family fun!

If you are a church member, we need cookie bakers, hay haulers, people to act in speaking roles, people to dress in costume for non-speaking roles, indoor greeters, cookie hander-outers, and cleanup crew.

See below for all the options!

Play a role in costume

This includes speaking and nonspeaking parts.

Of the speaking parts only the magi parts are completely scripted. The others are loosely scripted- giving you room to improvise and interact with the crowd and other characters.

Choose one, two, or three nights Friday- Sunday Dec 9-11 from 6-8 PM

Get to the church at 5:15 PM to get into costume and participate in a short devotional as we prepare to present the greatest story ever told

Skills needed: dependent on role – see sign up for more details

Haul hay

Meet at the church building at 9 AM on Saturday, December 3 to drive to the hay place, load the hay, and drive back to the church and set up the hay in the sets.

Skills needed: ability to lift, following the set plan

Show up and pitch in!

Bake Cookies

We need 100 dozen cookies for Little Bethlehem. If we have any leftovers we’ll be able to use them for Room at the Inn!

If you are not a baker, we also need 36 – 12 oz cans of sprite.

Please have your cookies to the New Kitchen in the church building by noon on Friday, Dec. 9

Staff the Refreshment Table

Each night we need 4 folks to staff the refreshment table per shift.

Shifts are:

5:30 – 7:00 PM

7:00 – 8:30 PM (this includes clean up)
